United States
Blakeslee, Pennsylvania

Set deep in the Pennsylvania countryside, Pocono is unique among America's superspeedways. Like Daytona, it is a tri-oval, but all three corners are different. Turn 1 is banked at 14 degrees, compared to eight degrees for the narrow and challenging Turn 2, and just six degrees for Turn 3. The front straight is the also longest on the NASCAR calendar. Champ Cars regularly visited Pocono for two decades, but the track was judged too bumpy for top-line open-wheel racing and the series moved elsewhere after the 1989. However, the IndyCar Series returned to the venue in 2013 – Scott Dixon winning that year.
