Second in The Grand Prix a year before, Felice Nazzaro emerged as the star of 1907. Fiat’s team leader won the Targa Florio and Kaiserpreis (a one-off event that had been introduced as Germany’s rival to France’s main event). His dominant season was capped with victory at Dieppe as Nazzaro became the second winner of the GP de l’Automobile Club de France.
Inaugural winner Szisz was second for Renault that day, with the Richard-Brasier of Paul Baras next to finish.
